Obituary for Jimmie Christianson

Jimmie Christianson, 75, of Huxley passed away Wednesday June 27, 2018 at home peacefully in his sleep. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018. at Fjeldberg Lutheran Church.

Jimmie L. Christianson, the son of Vernon and Verna Hanson Chirstianson was born on April 25, 1943 in Huxley. He grew up and graduated from South East Polk. After graduation, he trained for his journeyman title and became a proud plumber/steamfitter for Local 33 Plumbers. Jimmie and MaryAnn (Lilland) were married on May 5, 1962. Jimmie enjoyed fishing, watching western movies and camping and spending as much time with his family and grandchildren as he could.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 56 years, MaryAnn; daughters, Tracie (Wayne) Shaffer of Ames, Rhona (Tom) Krumm of Boone; sisters, Deanna (Keith) Hedlund of Slater, Sally (Gerald) Griffin of Seneca, Missouri, Patty (Phil) Kerns of Ankeny; six grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Jimmie, Jennifer, Scott, JamiLynn; and seven great grandchildren, Chloie, Parker, Emily, Gina, LilyAnn, William, and Connor.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Huxley First Responders.
