Obituary for Naylene Kay Crispin

Naylene Crispin, 57, of Madrid, passed away September 5, 2017 at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 10 at Adams Funeral Home in Ames. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 11 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Madrid.

Naylene Kay Crispin was born March 28, 1960 to Howard John and Delores Ann (West) Kyle in Ames, Iowa. She graduated from Ames High School in 1978 and was employed for 36 years at Principal in Des Moines. Naylene worked as an I.T. analyst in the health department, and most recently as a Project Manager.

Naylene married Donald Crispin on March 25, 1983 at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames. Naylene was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Madrid where she was currently serving as treasurer. Naylene was recently elected chairman of the United Way Campaign for Principal. She was also a member of Ames American Legion Auxiliary, and a local quilting club. Naylene enjoyed bowling, motorcycle rides with Don, gardening, quilting, swimming, going for walks, and spending time with her family.

Naylene is survived by her husband, Donald Crispin of Madrid; her son, Matthew Crispin of Ames; her daughter, Jacquelyn (Zachary) Schrader of Mapleton; her granddaughter, Addison Schrader; her brother, Mike (Lori) Kyle of Bondurant; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Steven Kyle; and her sister, Pamela Kyle.
