Obituary for Clark A Twedt

Clark A. Twedt, 84, of Overland Park and formerly of Roland died December 4, 2018 at his home. A celebration of life service will be January 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at Bergen Lutheran Church in Roland. Burial will be in the Roland Cemetery.
Clark was born on May 7, 1934 in Story City, Iowa to Carroll Jordan and Alice Ruth (Christian) Twedt. He graduated from Roland High School and volunteered for the US Army and was stationed at Ft. Benning at the end of Korean Conflict. He graduated from Drake University. Clark married his high school sweetheart Marian Egemo on September 2, 1956. He worked for Travelers Insurance Company for 36 years as a claims adjuster and earning the responsibilities as Regional Claims Manager.
Clark enjoyed working in the garden, planting plants and his tropical fish tanks. He was a member of Kohinoor Lodge #576 in Story City and the Abdallah Shriners in Overland Park. Clark was a big baseball fan; especially of the Kansas City Royals.
He is survived by his wife, Marian Twedt of Overland Park, KS; a son, Colin and his wife, Joyce of Stillwell, Kansas; a granddaughter, Katie Louise Twedt and a sister, Judy and husband Earl Hilzlip of Clearmont, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Edward Twedt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is assisting the family with arrangements.
